Christmas Ranch Tree Farms
will begin tree sales starting November 27th, 2009 in
Thousand Oaks and November 28th, 2009 in Simi
Valley.
We are a full service tree
farm that offers Choose & Cut Monterey Pines, Aleppo
Pines and Leyland Cypress in all sizes, plus a nice
selection of precut Douglas Fir, Noble Fir, Grand Fir,
Fraser Fir and Nordman Firs — all available at reasonable
prices. These trees are all stored and displayed in water
with shade protection.
Ask about our selection of very large (huge!)
Leyland Cypress in the 12-18 foot
range.
For your
convenience we offer:
- Bow saws (sorry, no customer chain saws are allowed)
- Carts to transport the trees from the field to the sales booth.
- Mechanical shakers to clean out dry needles, dust and any other debris deposited by winds.
- A netting machine to compact trees for easier travel on your car and getting through doors into your home.
- Twine to tie the tree on the car or secure it in the trunk.

- Tree preservative for sale – to keep your tree beautiful during the trip home and to add to your tree's water while in your home. "Keeps-It-Green" is a tested and proven preservative which helps retain the needles on your Christmas Tree.
- Beautiful, fresh, hand-made Christmas wreaths and garland for sale
- We can flock or apply flame retardant to your tree (required for trees placed in public buildings).
- For the adventuresome... a Jeep Ride! – In Thousand Oaks we have an old army Jeep truck to take customers over a steep hill to the far end of the farm to get their tree.
School tours are offered any time of the year by appointment to preschool and early elementary grades. We try to provide information about growing trees which compliments the curriculum for teachers available from National Christmas Tree Association at www.realtrees4kids.org web site.

Money is tight and our production costs for labor and water have increased dramatically this year, but as a result of the poor economy we are holding to last year's prices. Selecting and decorating a fresh Christmas tree is a family activity that all can share. Your tree will continue to give joy and pleasure through New Year's day, long after the gifts are opened.
